I just got my ontario Rat7 in this week. I ordered it from Knife Center for $85.95 plus shipping. I got it a couple days after I ordered it. I can’t wait to try it out. Just haven’t had time. I saw it on a Nutnfancy video and figured I would try it out. It weighs 18.5 oz including the sheath. 12.7 without the sheath. It feels really solid. Below is the link to the place I purchased it from and the other link is to the nutnfancy video.
Other wildlife captured on my trail camera
Looks like someone got my piebald. Haven’t seen him back for a while now. I need to find a new location to set up my other camera. In the meantime I figured I would post some pictures of different birds and other stuff my trail camera has photographed. I know its not hunting stuff, but I just haven’t had time to get out and hunt. I am always working.
Ruger LCP .380
Manufacturer : Ruger
Price : $339.98
Capacity : 6
Caliber : .380 Auto
The Ruger LCP is one of the easiest guns to conceal. It’s a great back up gun. It comes with a small carrying case and only one magazine. Doesn’t matter what you wear you can’t tell that you are carrying. The HYDE-IT Holster looks just like a wallet and costs about $50. It works with shorts or jeans.
A short fight between a couple of bucks.
This didn’t last to long, but its was something different to look at on the trail camera.
Taurus Judge Revolver
Manufacturer : Glock
Price : $579.00
Capacity : 5
Caliber : .410 or 45 Colt
Taurus did a great job marketing this gun. You might have seen this gun used by Mark Wahlberg in the movie Max Payne or you may have seen the commercial with the watermelon heads exploding. I saw both and immediately ran out to purchase one. Unfortunately for me everyone else did the same thing. So I ended up on a 6 month waiting list. It wasn’t even the color I wanted, but I took what I could get. Now you can find them everywhere for a lower price than I paid. Its definitely one to own if your a collector. Out of all the guns I own I get asked the most about the judge. The judge accepts either .410 shotgun shells or 45 colt. I have yet to fire 45 Colt out of this, and I probably never will. I find that I rarely shoot it, it’s to bulky for me to carry, and I am not sure this would be the first gun I grab if someone broke in. It is a gun that I bring it to the range is when I have a bunch of friends with me. Its a fun gun to shoot, and its a gun your friends will talk about the next day after shooting.
November Highlights from trail camera #2
This is just a few highlights from my 2nd trail camera. As I said before I don’t care for the quality of the pictures. Got a couple of bucks on here. This camera has not been out as long so I don’t expect to much from this one.
CCW Glock 26 9mm
Manufacturer : Glock
Price : $599.00
Magazines : 2
Capacity : 10 rd
Caliber : 9mm
Weight Empty : 19.75 oz.
This is the second CCW gun I bought. I did more research on this gun than my first. It is very accurate. It accepts the Glock 19 and 17 magazines. Which works out great since I already have a 17 with several magazines. So now at the range I will bring my Glock 17 mags as well as my 26 mags. Gives me more shooting time. I would rather load the magazines at home then waste time at the range loading. It is a fairly smooth gun. So carrying it in my universal holster works our really well. Even when I wear shorts you cannot tell I am carrying this gun. The one thing I did not like initially was my pinky finger would hang off the grip. So I bought a mag extender. I now wish I didn’t waste the money. The mag extender feels great until you start shooting the gun. It pinches your finger on each shot. After a day at the range I was fine with letting my pinky finger sit under the grip. Just like every other Glock the Glock 26 is really easy to disassemble and reassemble. It doesn’t feel as good in my hand as my Springfield 1911, but it was half the price. I have literally put over a 1000 rounds through this gun with no problems. Check out the hickok45 video on the Glock 26.
Piebald Deer Pictures
A piebald deer looks like half cow half deer. This is caused by a recessive genetic trait. It’s pretty rare to see a piebald deer. I have one that comes on a regular basis to one of my trail camera’s I have set out. Here a some pictures of it. He actually looks just like another 8 point buck that shows up at the same spot.
Magnum Research Inc Desert Eagle .50 A.E.
Desert Eagle
Manufacturer : Magnum Research Inc
Price : $1499.00
Magazines : 1
Capacity : 7 + 1
Caliber : .50 A.E.
This is a 50 caliber Desert Eagle. This is by far my heaviest handgun. I was a little nervous pulling the trigger on this gun, but the weight of the gun takes a lot of the recoil. It’s not as bad as you would think. The only recoil you have to worry about is your wallet recoiling when you go to buy ammo. I am using Gold Dot .50 A.E. which costs about $50.00 for a box of twenty. You can find it for $33 online, but I didn’t want to wait so I bought it at my local shop. I usually shoot about 200 rounds per gun when I am at the range. So the cost adds up quick. Needless to say I don’t shoot this one that much. This was just a gun I wanted to own for as long as I can remember. Next time we are at the range I will take a video of it and post it here. I took a picture of the .50 next to a 9mm round and a 45 round.
